The Hyoutou BLUE LINER shuttle bus connects New Chitose Airport via JR Chitose Station to the Chitose-Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival venue at Lake Shikotsu Onsen.
During the festival period, it operates 7 outbound and 9 return trips (45 seats per bus).
Reservations are required for boarding.

Reservations are required.Please make your reservation by 8:30 PM the day before.
We cannot accept reservations on the day of travel.
Refunds cannot be issued after the scheduled departure time.
Seat selection is not available.
Infants ride for free; however, no seat is provided. One infant per adult may travel free of charge.
There is no disability discount.
Please arrive at the boarding area 10 minutes before departure time. The bus will arrive at schedule.

Exit the East Exit of JR Chitose Station and take the stairs or elevator on your left. Please proceed to Bus Stop No.7 at the East Exit.

Do you sell round-trip bus tickets?

We do not sell round-trip bus tickets. Please make separate reservations for each one-way trip.

Is the admission ticket included in the bus fare?

No. Admission tickets are not included. Please purchase them at the ticket booth at the event entrance.

Can I change my bus reservation?

Changing the reservation date incurs a 100% cancellation fee. Same-day changes to a different bus are free, subject to seat availability. The average stay at the festival venue is about 90 minutes, so please plan your schedule accordingly.

Can I store my luggage on the bus?

No. We cannot store luggage on the bus. There is a luggage storage service in the shopping district near the bus stop at Lake Shikotsu Onsen. Please use that service.

The Chitose-Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival is a premier winter event in Hokkaido, featuring a variety of ice sculptures of all sizes created by spraying and freezing water from Lake Shikotsu. During the day, visitors can enjoy the natural blue gradient woven by the sky and the ice sculptures. At night, the festival transforms into a fantastical world illuminated by vivid lights.
